Eligible Cypriot companies:
-The majority of the company’s shares belong to third country nationals.
-Foreign direct investments of at least €200,000, legally imported into Cyprus from abroad. This must be proved by a bank and by providing other documents.
-To operate in independent offices in Cyprus. - Permanent Residence in Cyprus
Permanent residence in Cyprus is a legal status that enables non-EU citizens and their dependents to enter and remain as permanent residents in Cyprus without any restrictions. It does not expire, so no renewal is required. It is also known as an immigration permit or permanent residence permit.
The legal basis of the permanent residence status is regulations 5 and 6 (2) of the Aliens and Immigration Regulations. - Temporary Residence Permit – Pink Slip
The temporary residence permit in Cyprus, also known as the Pink Slip, allows holders of passports from countries outside the European Union to extend their stay in Cyprus for more than 3 months (90 days). It also allows tourists and visitors to extend their stay, regardless of the length of their original visa. The application must be submitted before the current visa expires.
The Pink Slip is valid for 1 year and can be renewed annually. Under this permit, the holder has the right to live in Cyprus as a visitor (without the right to work). Also, his family members, his/her spouse and children (under 18 years of age), can obtain it as dependents. The whole family applies at the same time – each family member submits a separate application form and receives their temporary residence card.
Temporary residence permit restrictions:
-The holder cannot stay outside Cyprus for more than three consecutive months as the permit will be automatically canceled
-Does not have the right to work in Cyprus
-Only granted to third country nationals who wish to extend their stay in Cyprus
-Valid for one year, can be renewed each year - Yellow Slip Registration Certificate
The Certificate of Registration, known as the ‘Cyprus Yellow Slip’ as it is printed on yellow paper, is available to citizens of Europe (EU and EEA) who wish to stay and work or remain as visitors in the Republic of Cyprus. The application for the issuance of the certificate must be submitted within four months from the date of entry into Cyprus.
